About ENROUTE
ENROUTE.CC is a cycling-focused destination built for riders who value performance, design, and consistency. Founded in 2020 and based in Vancouver, British Columbia, we curate cycling apparel and accessories from trusted brands and pair them with thoughtful service, deep product knowledge, and a strong local cycling culture. Alongside ENROUTE.CC, our running side (ENROUTE.RUN) brings the same standards to the run community: considered footwear and apparel, honest fitting, and a local culture built around the sport rather than the trend. The café completes the space: a place for riders and runners to gather before and after, held to the same bar for care and consistency as everything else we do.
We believe good gear should do its job quietly. That means function before hype, fit over trends, and honest recommendations grounded in experience. Whether someone is training consistently or simply moving through daily life, Enroute exists to support that process with clarity, quality, and restraint.
Role Overview
This role owns how people find Enroute and what happens after they do. You run paid acquisition across Google and Meta, own the email and SMS programme, and are accountable for what that spend actually returns — not for what a platform claims it returned. You work across two brands, three stores including our first location outside Canada, and a storefront serving customers in Canada and the United States. This is a role for someone who wants a channel to own outright, and who would rather report an honest number than a flattering one.
- Reports to: General Manager
- Location: Vancouver, B.C.
- Employment Type: Full-time · salaried
- Eligibility: Authorized to work in Canada
What You'll Own
Paid acquisition
- Plan, run, and optimise paid search, shopping, and paid social across Google and Meta for both brands
- Own how budget is split between brands, regions, and channels, and defend that split with margin rather than last-click revenue
- Build and maintain the audience strategy, including customer-match and retention audiences that are currently sitting unused
- Keep the product feed healthy so the catalogue actually serves
Measurement and attribution
- Own the analytics stack end to end: GA4, server-side tracking, and the platform pixels
- Reconcile what the platforms report against real orders and real margin, and know where the two diverge
- Report plainly on what is working, including when the honest answer is that spend should come down
Lifecycle and retention
- Own email and SMS: flows, campaigns, segmentation, and the calendar
- Grow the list through on-site capture, in-store signup, and post-purchase
- Build retention that brings customers back without discounting the brand away
Site, content, and search
- Work on the storefront to improve merchandising, landing pages, and conversion
- Partner with buying and retail on launches, seasonal stories, and campaigns
- Keep organic discovery moving alongside paid, so the two are not fighting each other
What You Bring (Essential)
- Three or more years running paid acquisition with real budget responsibility
- Hands-on in Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager — in the platforms, not only in the reports
- Strong analytically: comfortable in GA4 and spreadsheets, and comfortable reconciling numbers that disagree
- Experience with Shopify and a lifecycle platform such as Klaviyo
- Able to explain performance plainly to people who are not marketers
- Willing to be accountable for a number
Strongly Preferred
- Specialty retail, endurance sport, or a comparable enthusiast category
- Multi-region experience, particularly Canada and the United States
- A personal connection to cycling or running
How Success Is Measured
Success in this role looks like:
- Contribution margin from paid, not platform-reported ROAS
- Repeat purchase rate and revenue from channels we own
- New customer acquisition cost, tracked honestly across both brands and both countries
- A Boulder opening that arrives with demand already built
What We Offer
- Health benefits package
- Employee discounts
- Food and beverage perks
- Real ownership of a channel, with the budget and tooling to move it
